My name is Chris (Mr. Hill to some) and I’m a Chicago based teaching artist. I received my Bachelors of Fine Arts from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in Art Education. After graduating, I began teaching visual arts for Chicago Public Schools. I’ve been teaching for 10 years and I also recently obtained my masters in Art Education through an online cohort at Eastern Illinois University. I decided to start my own art education blog to help:
- Document and organize student artwork, lesson plans, and curriculum
- Act as an additional resource for my own student’s and their parents
- Share my art teacher journey with fellow educators and build an creative online community
